**Job Summary**

**NOTE: Work days and hours for this A shift position are typically Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM 3:30 PM. Availability to work additional days/hours when needed due to business needs, projects, vacation or sick coverage etc. is required.**

The Inventory & Replenishment Supervisor will lead a team of up to 20-25 employees, including hourly workers, forklift drivers and inventory clerks in the order filling (pick and pack) and stocking departments. This will include helping individual employees develop professionally, maintaining a tight order/cycle time, and driving line-per-hour and other costs out the building. This role will oversee Inventory and Replenishment.

The individual in this role will be an impact player with ambition and aptitude and will possess key characteristics such as a people-oriented approach to leadership as well as the ability to build relationships with team members and peers. Must demonstrate the drive and initiative to recognize opportunities to improve processes, and then manage the change involved in implementing those improvements.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

Supervisory (70%)

* Model the Spectrum Brands eight Core Capabilities to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility.

* Helping the members of your team develop their skills and identifying those with the potential to grow into Leads or other positions within the company.

* Ensuring orders are completed within 48 hours.

* Working with the team to drive several ongoing projects, ranging from process enhancements for picking to redesigning work areas.

* Working as a team with peers to ensure a high degree of continuity and collaboration across shifts and functions.

* Interacting with Outbound Supervisor, Receiving and Inventory Managers, and other members of the team.

* Meeting warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews. Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements.

Inventory Control (20%)

* Supporting and driving time, cost, quality, inventory, and service improvements within distribution.

* Providing input to ensure optimal facility layout, infrastructure, and material flow designs within the distribution center.

* Ensuring the accuracy and the integrity of the building's inventory.

* Managing Distribution Center priorities in a cost efficient manner to satisfy customer requirements placed on transportation and distribution.

* Participating in the development and execution of the annual Distribution Center budget and operating strategy.

* Working with the Health/Safety/Environmental Manager and other safety personnel to implement appropriate safety procedures including OSHA requirements and company-identified guidelines.

Other (10%)

* Hiring, training, coaching, appraising, and disciplining Distribution Center employees following positive employee relations practices.

* Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

* Ensures compliance with all safety policies, housekeeping rules, OSHA standards/regulations and Spectrum Brands, HHI policies and procedures.

* Other duties as requested

**Education and Experience Profile**

* Experience in a distribution center with knowledge of process flow and effective layout. Ideal candidate has worked in multiple functions within distribution.

* 2-5 years of management experience in a distribution environment

* Bachelor's degree desirable, GED or High School Diploma required

* Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

**Required Skills**

* Demonstrated leadership skills including supervision, coaching and mentoring and resolving employee conflicts

* Knowledge of key warehouse functions (receiving, inventory management, order processing, replenishment, shipping etc.)

* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). RedPrairie and MFG/Pro/QAD a plus.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the business

* A demonstrated ability to manage to productivity and/or performance goals.

* Strong problem-solving skills. Understand how to define the problem and generate alternatives and implement solutions.

* Computer proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* 2 4 years of experience in a distribution or logistics business operation with a focus on wave planning.

* Familiarity with product by catalog number and handling characteristics.

* Must be able to function in a quick moving, highly interactive team environment.

* Must have the ability to multi task as well as be detail oriented. Work well with numbers (mathematics).

* Must be able to perform without specific daily direction.

* Must have the ability and willingness to work collaboratively with other people and departments.

* Must be a self-starter, creative thinker, and results oriented individual.

* No Safety infractions/incidents within the last 6 months (internal candidates).

**Work Environment**

Working conditions are normal for an office environment within a distribution center.
